WC Overfelt High School's Mariachi Band, established in 2022 and located on the East Side of San Jose, CA, is a vibrant and culturally enriching ensemble. Under dedicated and talented instructors, the band celebrates the rich traditions of mariachi music, showcasing both instrumental and vocal talents.

Students in the band become skilled musicians and ambassadors of Hispanic culture, performing at school events, community gatherings, and local competitions. The program emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and a deep appreciation for mariachi roots, helping students develop both musically and personally.

The WC Overfelt Mariachi Band, inspired by proactive students, has quickly become a source of pride for the school. It fosters diversity and cultural appreciation, aspiring to grow as a beacon of excellence and musical literacy while proudly representing their East Side San Jose community.
